Arvon Lee Glasgow's Obituary
Graveside Funeral Service for Arvon Lee Glasgow, 74, DeRidder, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Providence Cemetery, Rosepine, LA with Rev. Wayne Kite and Rev. Jason Hoycheck officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, 6:00 PM until 9:00 P M at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, Louisiana.
Arvon was born on November 3, 1938, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Culley Glasgow and Lela McMullen Glasgow. He proudly served in the United States Army from December 7, 1961 until July 1970. He and Zelta Jackson married on December 22, 1966. Arvon worked at Boise Cascade from 1970 until his retirement in 2009. He and Zelta enjoyed many vacations all of the United States. Arvon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Zelta Glasgow of DeRidder, Louisiana; sister, Lynn Thompson of Rosepine, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Arvon passed from this life on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his residence.
