Arthur "Pete" Perkins' Obituary
Funeral services for Arthur “Pete” Perkins, 74, of Leesville, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Ian McDonald, officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Arthur Avon (Pete) Perkins passed from this life on February 22nd, 2020 at his home in Leesville, LA. Pete was born May 17, 1945 in Leesville, LA., to Andrew Jackson (A.J) Perkins Jr. and Tressie Brown Perkins.
Pete worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Roads and Ground, Director of Public Works, JRTC and Fort Polk until his retirement from Federal Civil Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Daryl Douglas Perkins and baby sister Tressie Adell Perkins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Melissa Maddox of Houston, TX., son, Kelvin Perkins of Leesville, LA., brother, Dalton Ray Perkins (Cheryl) of Leesville, LA., three grandchildren, Crystal Cole (Billy), Derrick Maddox (Amee), Dustin Maddox; four great grandchildren, nieces, Carolyn “Peanut” Watts, Brandie Perkins, nephew, Darrell Perkins, Jason Perkins, his side-kick MO, and many family and special friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbears are Daryel Perkins, Douglas Perkins, Gayle Liliedahl, Ronald Gorman, Scooter McCrary, Eloyd Caraway
