Antoine James "Spanky" Dalme's Obituary
Antoine James “Spanky” Dalme was born on October 19, 1960 to AJ and Johnnie Marie Phillips Dalme. He passed from this life on July 28, 2026 at the age of 65 years 9 months and 9 days.
Spanky was preceded in death by his father, AJ Dalme; mother, Johnnie Marie Phillips Dalme; brother, Darrell Wills; bonus parents, Lawrence Toney and Beatrice Dalme Toney and bonus sister, Patricia Toney Haymon.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Mary Evelyn Clark Dalme; sisters, Dawanna Reibold and Shonda Dalme; brother, Alton Dalme (Amy); brothers-in-law, William Clark and Kevin Clark (Christine), and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Spanky was lifelong resident of Vernon Parish, graduating from Leesville High School in 1980 where he lettered in both football and track. After high school Spanky went to work at Coca Cola of Leesville where he spent 38 years delivering, installing and fixing everyone’s Coke machines. He was proud of the reputation he built, always smiling and happy while taking care of his customers.
Spanky was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He and Mary loved to camp and travel. Together they went on many adventures with family and friends.
One of Spanky’s true passions was his involvement in the Masonic Brotherhood, Lodge #240 in Leesville. He was also a Shriner with West Cenla Shrine Club of Leesville, LA the Shreveport Court 26 Royal Order of Jesters, the El Karubah Shrine Temple of Shreveport, LA, El Karubah El Baja of Leesville and the Cenla Shrine Club of Alexandria, LA.
As a Shriner who of his activities was with El Baja Gokart Riding Club, where he performed at parades and festivals. At fair time in Leesville you could always find Spanky in the Shriners booth making funnel cakes. He was proud of the support he helped to provide for the Shriners Children’s Hospital and the families he helped there. Spanky had a true Servants heart. He touched many lives with his sweet smile and kind soul.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Pastor E. J. Guillot and Brother John Davis officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
