Annie Holaway's Obituary
Funeral services for Annie P. Holaway, 80, of Leesville will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 10 am at Saint Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville, with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2016, from 5 pm until 9 pm with a Rosary being recited at 5:30 pm at the funeral home.
Annie the daughter of Lumas and Alice Ducote Ponthier was born on January 3, 1936 in Bunkie, Louisiana. She passed away on Thursday, March 03, 2016, in Leesville, LA.
Mrs. Holaway was Catholic by faith. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved to sew and work in her flower bed and in the garden. She was a member of the Vernon Parish Home Demonstration for many years. She was a line inspector for Ditto and later Jordache until she retired in 1990.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son David Holaway and brother, Hilton Ponthier & his wife, Lelia.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, G. A. Holaway of Leesville; sons, Mark Holaway & wife, Judy of Anacoco and Gordon Holaway &wife, Pam of Killeen, TX; sister, Eve Perkins of Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, J.P. Rodgers and Jaimi Ashley & husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Titus, Gideon, Silas & Judah Ashley and a host of nieces and nephews.
