Angela "Angie" Ruth Trahan's Obituary
Angela “Angie” Ruth Trahan was born on July 26th, 1975 to Anthony and Sharon Fain in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She then went to be with the Lord on September 28th, 2024 at her home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Angela “Angie” Ruth Fain Trahan was a woman whose very essence radiated love, faith, and a deep sense of compassion for everyone she encountered. Her life was a beautiful reflection of her unwavering devotion to God, her family, and the countless people blessed to cross her path. From the moment you met her, you felt seen, cherished, and embraced by the love that flowed effortlessly from her heart. Angie was not just extraordinary because of the things she did, but because of the way she made others feel—her kindness and warmth were like a balm, turning strangers into friends, and friends into family.
Angie chose to walk through life with a deep sense of purpose, following in the footsteps of Jesus every day. She wasn’t just a woman of faith; she embodied it. Her actions, words, and even her smile carried the message of Christ’s love. Whether it was offering a helping hand, listening with genuine interest, or simply being a source of comfort, Angie never missed an opportunity to share God’s love with those around her. Her faith was not just something she practiced on Sundays—it was the foundation of her every day, the guiding force behind her every decision, and the light she used to illuminate the lives of others.
Though Angie had a heart wide enough to embrace the world, it was the simple pleasures in life that brought her the most joy. She found peace in the quiet moments, sitting outside in the cool morning air, watching the world wake up around her, and feeling God’s presence in the beauty of nature. These moments of stillness were sacred to her, a time to reflect, to pray, and to be in awe of the Creator’s handiwork. But even more than these cherished moments of solitude, Angie’s heart was most full when she was with her beloved husband, Shane. They were inseparable, bound not only by love but by a deep friendship that made every moment they shared—whether at home or on an adventure—precious. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and faith, a partnership that was the cornerstone of Angie’s happiness.
Angie’s love for storytelling was another gift she shared with the world. She had a remarkable imagination and a way with words that could transport you to another world. She loved to read, to write, and most of all, to weave vivid stories that captured the hearts of those who listened. She often spoke of her dreams of one day publishing a book, and those who knew her could easily imagine the beauty, wisdom, and warmth her words would have brought to the world. Her stories were not just tales but reflections of her own spirit—full of depth, hope, and love.
Angie had a way of making every conversation feel like an adventure. She could talk for hours, weaving together the most incredible stories from her past—stories that made you laugh, reflect, and sometimes wonder how one person could have experienced so much. Whether she was recalling a road trip gone wrong or one of the countless moments she’d taken a chance on something new, she spoke with a joy that was contagious. Her laugh, so full of life, would fill the room and pull everyone in. There was a magic in her that made even the smallest moments feel special.
But of all the roles Angie played in life, none brought her more joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether she was teaching them something new, reading them stories from the Bible, or simply enjoying their laughter over a cup of coffee, Angie poured her heart into each interaction. She delighted in watching them grow, and in those sweet, everyday moments, she found the greatest fulfillment. To her grandchildren, she was not just a grandmother, but a source of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love—someone they could always turn to, no matter what.
Angie’s legacy is one of love—love for her family, love for God, and love for every person who was lucky enough to know her. Her memory lives on in her husband, Shane Louis Trahan, her two sons, Brandon Kol Trahan, and Anthony Scott Trahan, along with his wife, Hannah Trahan. Her daughter, Haley Lebleu, and her husband, Johnny Lebleu, carry her spirit with them as well. Angie is also lovingly remembered by her parents, Anthony and Sharon Fain, her sister, Leslie Mezzabifera and her husband Josh Mezzabifera, her nieces, Annie Holmes and Dinah Bean, her husband Shawn Bean, and their daughters Olivia and Sophia. Her nephew, Timothy Kirsch, and of course, her five grandchildren—Kaydence, Tristen, Emily, Ryvor, and Isaiah—will forever hold her memory close to their hearts, carrying with them the lessons, love, and light she gave so freely.
Preceding Angie in death were her cherished paternal grandparents, Gerald Judson and Nelda Jean Judson, her beloved maternal grandmother, Annie Savillia Parker, and her dear paternal grandparents, Cecil Vernie DeFries and Virginia Ann DeFries. Each played a special role in shaping Angie into the loving, faithful woman she was. Their wisdom, devotion, and love were deeply woven into her life, and though they left this world before her, their legacy lived on through her. Now, reunited with them in heaven, their spirits are once again together in eternal peace and joy.
Angie’s life was a beacon of faith, hope, and love. She lived fully, loved deeply, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit remains—guiding, comforting, and reminding her family and friends that she is always with them. Her love, like her faith, was boundless, and it will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Angie’s life was a testament to what it means to walk in faith and live with purpose, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come.
