Andrew Donald Mosley Jr's Obituary
Andrew Donald Mosley Jr, was born to the late Andrew Donald Mosley Sr. and Lucille (Johnson) Mosley on June 1, 1961 in Milford, Delaware. After graduating from high school, Andrew joined the United States Army. His Army tour of duty brought him to Fort Polk, Louisiana, where he met and married Marietta Moore on February 14, 1981. To this union, the Lord blessed with eight children. Andrew accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He held various positions within the church, including serving as Deacon under the leadership of Elder Joe Leonard Sr. of Harvest Temple C.O.G.I.C . Andrew loved to travel. After completing his military service, he became a full-time truck driver which took him to 48 of the 50 states in America- shortly before his calling. Andrew returned to his native home of Delaware to visit family and childhood friends. On the evening of October 9, 2017, our Heavenly Father called Andrew home to glory, where he was awaited by his mother Lucille; father Andrew Sr; mother-in-law Henrietta Moore; father-in-law Johnnie L. Moore, Sr.; sister Carmen Davis; brother-in-law Jackie B. Moore; beloved Pastor Elder Tom Weeks Jr. and a host of other loved ones.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife of 36 years, Marietta Mosley; five sons; Andrew D. Mosley III, Zachary Mosley, and Carlos Mosley of New Llano, LA; Andrae’ Mosley and William Mosley of Baton Rouge, LA; Three daughters; Takesha Johnson and Destini Johnson of Leesville, LA and Elvia Mosley of New Llano, LA . two sisters; Donita Taylor and Belinda Vann of Dover, Delware.; nine brothers-in-law John H. Moore (Cora) and Jeffrey Moore, Sr of Leesville, LA. Jimmie L. Moore, Huey P. Moore and Booker T. Moore of Hawthorne, LA; Archie Moore of Albuquerque, NM;Amos Moore of San Antonio, TX; Johnnie L. Moore, JR and Theodore Moore (Jennifer) of New Llano, LA. Uncle Robert Dean Sr, of Hawthorne, LA; Aunts Loretta Edwards of Leesville, LA and Mattie Dean of Merryville, LA., seven grandkids; Christian Tolliver and Aniya Mosley of Baton Rouge
