Amy Lois Davis' Obituary
Amy L. Davis was born on November 2, 1922 in Keel, Mississippi to Dan and Nettie Ladner and passed from this life peacefully at the home of her daughter Dorothy on December 18, 2022, at the age of 100 years 1 month and 16 days.
Amy loved to bowl which she traveled to several states to participate in bowling tournaments. She was a lifetime member of the Red Diamond Square Dancers and The Swinging Seniors Dance Team. She worked at Fort Polk and after she retired she went to work at Wal-Mart as a door greeter for 10 years.
She had 2 little fur babies Blu and Dolly which she loved and cared for.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Woodrow Davis, parents; Dan and Nettie Ladner, siblings; Shirley Brady, Goldie Ladner, Roland Ladner, O’Leary Ladner, Leo Ladner.
She is survived by her four children Dorothy Treme (Gary) of Leesville, LA., Charles Davis (Karen) of Broussard, LA., Brenda Sconce (Karl) of Bend, OR., Norma Bush (Keith) of Leesville, LA., eleven grandchildren; Natalie Busby, Kimberly Poe, Sheila Lopez, Robin Craft, Chelsea Davis, Jamie Parker, Jenny Chrisley, Ryan Bush, Amy Farris, Halie Finch, eighteen great grandchildren and fourteen great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In honor of Amy’s request the family will not be holding any services.
