Alvin Wayne Williams' Obituary
Alvin Wayne Williams of Slagle, Louisiana, passed away on November 26, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on September 29, 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Jesse Williams of Deville, Louisiana; Eric Williams and wife Tiffany of Osceola, Missouri; and Justin Williams of Dry Prong, Louisiana. His role as a grandfather to his grandchildren, Trent Williams, Wyatt Williams, Ty Williams, Tyler Williams, Morgan Williams, Quintin Williams, Christian Williams, and Bryce Williams, was not just a title, but a source of immense joy and pride. His Great-grandchildren, Gatlen Williams and Walker Williams, were the apple of his eye. He also leaves behind his brother Carl (Buddy) Williams, Sisters Carey Cooper and husband Vaungh, Jr., Wanda Owens, Janet Wheetley, husband Jerry, Ethel Harvey, and husband Robert.
Alvin was preceded in death by his devoted bride, Brenda Cooley Williams, for over four decades. His parents, Andrew and Joyce Williams, and One Brother, Ralph Williams
Alvin's love for the outdoors was a reflection of his adventurous spirit. He found joy in hunting and fishing, and these activities were not just hobbies, but a part of his identity.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana, located in the Slagle Community.
The funeral will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana, located in the Slagle Community, under the direction of Bro. Lynn Cooley and Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
