Alvin was soft-spoken, kind, and a joy to be around. When he spoke you wanted to lean in and hear what he had to say. He was fun-loving and loved to tease. He welcomed friends, and family into his home and made them feel glad to be there. He was many special things to many people but the things I treasured about him most was his love for his wife, Vi, and the devotion and care of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Alvin was a very special person, a hard worker, good neighbor, friend, relative as well as a fabulous father, grandfather and husband. He will be sorely missed by his neighbors, his church members, and his many friends and relatives but most of all by his precious wife. We are saddened by his passing.
