Althea M. Perkins' Obituary
Funeral services for Althea M. Perkins, 95, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Travis Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery in New Llano, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm - 9 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at the funeral home.
Althea, the daughter of Eddie and Amanda Daigle Mott was born on March 16, 1916, in Edna, Louisiana. She passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011, at The Woodlands Health Care Center in Leesville, LA. Mrs. Perkins worked hard at the PX at Ft. Polk and at Wal-Mart as a door greeter. She was a very loving wife to her husband. She loved to meet people and to go to church at Jackson Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber N. Perkins and daughter, Linda S. Owens.
She is survived by her sons, Bill & Rose Perkins of Houston, TX and Mickey & Sandy Perkins of Anacoco, LA; 7 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
