Alta Elizabeth Lamprich's Obituary
Alta Elizabeth Lamprich, 94, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. Robert Luke Liechty officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be held from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M., Monday, April 4, 2011, and from 9 A.M. until time of the service Tuesday, April 5, 2011, all in the funeral home.
Born in Higdon, Arkansas, Ms. Lamprich lived most of her life in DeRidder. She was retired from U.S. Civil Service at Ft. Polk, LA, where she was a purchasing and procurement agent for over twenty-seven years. She was an avid reader and was of the Baptist faith. She was known at “Aunt Alta” or “Grandma Apple” to family and friends.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. Words of comfort may be left to the family of Ms. Lamprich at www.labbymemorial.com.
