Alnas Andria "Ann" Chance Smart's Obituary
Funeral services for Alnas Andria (Ann) Chance Smart, 71, of Hornbeck, LA will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck with the Bro. Wayne Chance and Bro. Doug Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 04, 2011 from 5 pm – until time of service Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the church.
Ann, the daughter of John Albert and Audrey Hilton Chance was born on January 6, 1939, in Plainview, Louisiana. She passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA. She worked as a cook at several local restaurants; she also worked as a cashier and in construction.
She was preceded in death by her per parents, John (Albert) & Audrey Chance of Hornbeck; son, Ferlin Ray Knippers; husband, Billy Ray Knippers and granddaughter, Shantal Knippers.
She is survived by her son, Richard Knippers and wife Martha (Cookie); daughters, Luana (Sis) Keele and husband Raymond and Regina Knippers, all of Hornbeck; granddaughter, Modina Westerling and husband Jason of Enterprise AL; grandsons, Cody Knippers, Ray Knippers, Kyle and Katy Knippers & Jacob Edwards, all of Hornbeck; great granddaughters, Haley Westerling, Haleigh Paige Shealy, April Knippers & Lauren Knippers; great grandsons, Hayden Westerling & Will Knippers. Others left to cherish her memory are brothers, Nathan (A.J.) Chance and wife Paula of Bossier City, Gene Chance of Hornbeck, Walter (Sherwood) Chance and wife Vicki of Hornbeck; sisters, Doris Knippers, Theresa Nicks and husband Bruce, Eula Darrett and husband David, Sharon Mason and husband Larry, all of Hornbeck; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.
