Alma Wardle's Obituary
Alma Louise Wardle departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2022. She was 94 years old. Alma was born on June 10, 1928 in Orange, Texas to Louis and Tressie Edwards.
Funeral services will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Friday, August 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 AM until time of service. Funeral services under the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
Alma Wardle had a full life as a devoted wife of 70 years to her husband and loving mother to her three children. When God blessed her with grandchildren and great grandchildren, she showered them with love and attention knowing they were gifts from God.
Alma was a talented seamstress and spent many hours in her sewing room. She loved to cook and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies.
Alma cherished her friendships. Friends were very important to her and she had many. Her faith was central to her and she lived it out every day and never missed an opportunity to share Jesus to anyone.
Mrs. Wardle is survived by her three children, Jimmy Wardle of Louisville, Kentucky, Janice Temple (Lee) of Westlake, LA and Judy Moses (Lucky) of Alexandria, LA, her twin brother, Elmer Edwards of DeRidder, LA and her sister, Johnnie Mae Maul of DeRidder, LA, 7 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Stephen H. Wardle, and sister Helen Hoffpauir.
Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
