Allen Keel's Obituary
Funeral services for Allen Keel, 90, of Burr Ferry will be Saturday, November 29th, 2:00 PM, at the Freedom Rest Baptist Church in Anacoco, Louisiana. The Rev George Jeanes and James Kay will officiate with the burial to follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Keel was a native and life long resident of Burr Ferry, Louisiana. A retired paint & body man with U.S. Civil Service at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He was a member of the Freedom Rest Baptist Church. A Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during War War II, also serving in New Guinea, Southern Philippians and Luzon, he earned five Overseas Service Bars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star.
Mr. Keel was survived by loving wife, of 58 years, Tommie Louise Kay Keel of Burr Ferry, Louisiana; Son and daughter-n-law Truitt & Debbie Keel of Evans, Louisiana; son Carl Keel of Burr Ferry, Louisiana; daughter Peggy & Ernest Mayo of Leesville, Louisiana; grandchildren Aaron & Jessica Mayo, Tamarah & Pat Murphy and Kimberly Mayo; and great grandchild Austin Mayo.
