Alishea Yvette McLendon's Obituary
Our beautiful Alishea was born on the island of Galveston, TX on January 18, 1969, to the late Gloria Dean Lee and Willie Lee Jr. Alishea, also known as Butter Cup, was raised in Dickinson, TX, being educated in Dickinson ISD. Alishea moved to Colfax, LA with her maternal grandmother, Mamie Myers, and her aunt, Flora Myers, in her late teens to finish out her high school years at Montgomery High School.
Alishea decided to enlist in the United States Army where she served faithfully once she graduated from high school. Alishea settled in New Llano, LA and began a career on then Ft. Polk, now known as Ft. Johnson. In this career, Alishea assisted service men and women’s families and families of veterans with funeral benefits and burials.
Years later as Alisha’s health began to waver, she became a dialysis patient. During her dialysis treatments she was annoyed by this guy that would not leave her alone, or was she annoying him? The two became the best of friends and inseparable over time. Omar proposed to Alishea on December 4, 2022, in Natchitoches, LA at Dark Woods Lights. Omar and Alishea were joined in holy matrimony on October 28, 2023, in a beautiful ceremony at New Willow Baptist Church. Omar and Alishea worshiped together as husband and wife at New Willow B. C. and enjoyed living life together by traveling and trying new things.
Although we were not prepared for Alishea to answer her call from JESUS on the morning of October 25, 2025, we know and believe that she’s worshipping JESUS face to face.
Alishea is preceded in death by both of her parents Gloria and Willie, maternal and paternal grandparents, sister, Annetria Lee, aunts Fannie Farmer and Rosa White, her uncle Willie Myers, and sister-in-law Nadiyah Collins.
Alishea leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Omar McLendon of Deridder, LA, children, Roshawn Bush of Houston, TX and Marcus Rim of Leesville, LA, grandson, Ayden Rim of Fort Worth, TX, granddaughter, Haevyn Rim of Yuma, Az, sister Crystal Bethancourt (Hector) of Katy, TX, aunts Julia Porter of Dickinson, TX and Flora Myers of La Marque, TX, uncle Will Myers Jr of Colfax, LA, brothers in law Hammad Mahdi (Darea), Reginald McLendon, and Randy Collins, sisters in law Rabiah Johnson (Jamal) and Fatihah Ouedraogo (Abdul) and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
