Alice L. Whistine's Obituary
Funeral services for Alice L. Whistine, 74, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 3 PM Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Tim Whistine officiating. Burial will follow in Sugartown Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Sunday, December 6th, from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Alice, the daughter of James Wesley and Lula Brister Whistine was born on August 6, 1941, in Leesville, LA. She passed away on Friday, December 04, 2015, in Lake Charles, LA.
Mrs. Whistine was a native of Leesville, LA; she lived most of her life in DeRidder and Lake Charles, LA. She was a retired secretary at Martin GMC in Lake Charles, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Almon Whistine.
She is survived by her sister, Janie McFatter of DeRidder; two nephews, Terry Whistine and Rev. Tim Whistine; one niece, Pam Self; five great nieces, Laura Whistine Droddy, Farah Whistine, Kristin Whistine, Ashley Anderson and Courtney Anderson and sister-in-law, Sue Whistine.
