Alice Grimes' Obituary
Alice Grimes of Leesville passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the age of 70.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles D. (Butch) Grimes of Leesville. A daughter Anita Grimes Bonnette and husband Lester of Cottonport. Son, David Wesley Grimes and wife Lisa of Leesville. Alice was know as Nanny to her 9 grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Brouillette, Hailey Alison Brouillette, Evan Gage Grimes, Madeline Ann Bonnette, Gavin Drake Grimes, Taylor Kathryn Gremillion, Greyson Wesley Grimes, Gabriel Quinn Grimes and Elizabeth Grace Grimes and One Great Grandson Philip Bonnette Pepiton, IV. Alice also leaves behind her beloved schnauzer, Chuckie.
Alice is also surivived by her mother Anita Rosier and sister Joyce Sanov of Gladewater, Texas, sister Kathleen Tippit of Conroe Texas and sister Deannie Ross of Houston, Texas.
Alice moved to Leesville 50 years ago as a young adult with her husband Butch. She made many friends and love the people of Vernon Parish. She loved to travel the world with her friends Pat, Lydia, Alice Rae and Mary. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for numerous years. She was retired from the Vernon Parish school board and severed many years on the board of the Museum of West Central Louisiana and was a member of the Pilot Club. Alice will always be remember fondly for her kind heart and
quick wit.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 19th at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Friends may visit Monday, August 18th from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or
St. Jude's.
