Alice Elizabeth "Beth" Kilman's Obituary
Funeral services for Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Kilman, 84, of DeRidder, LA, will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 11:00 AM, in the First Baptist Church of DeRidder, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Lindsey Burns, Ed Stanton, Rev. Wayne Evans and Rev. Thomas Harper. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder and Wednesday, at 10:00 AM, at the church.
Beth was born on December 24, 1927, in Monroe, LA, to George Harper and Alice Odom Harper and was reared in LeCompte, LA. She was a graduate of Northwestern State University and taught at DeRidder and Leesville High Schools beginning at the age of 19. She was a member of First Baptist Church of DeRidder,
DeRidder Garden Club, DeRidder Study Club, a Board Member of the Beauregard Parish Library, a Pink Lady at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Beauregard Parish Retired Teachers Association. She passed from this life on Monday, July 23, 2012, DeRidder, LA.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Billy Kilman of DeRidder, LA; son, Eddy Kilman and wife Brenda of West Point, GA;
daughters, Cathy Kilman DeWitt and husband Owen of Coppell, TX, Kerry Kilman Stanton and husband Ed of Bayou Vista, TX and Kristy Kilman Pavlas and husband Craig of Friendswood, TX; 2 brothers, G. Robert Harper of Alexandria, LA and Rev. Thomas Harper of Pineville, LA; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
