Aileen Franklin's Obituary
Funeral services for Aileen Franklin, 84, will be held at 3 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in the First United Methodist Church in DeRidder, La. with Rev. J.C. Skinner officiating.
Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mrs. Franklin passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009, in Dubuis Hospital of Lake Charles. She was a native of Irvine, Kentucky, and had resided in DeRidder for over 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeRidder where she had bee a member of the choir for many years. She had also been the organist for several other churches throughout the United States as she followed her late husband during his career with the U.S. Civil Service.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Franklin of DeRidder, Son Stephen Douglas Franklin and wife Meritus of Addis, LA; sister, Dorothy Turpin of Lexington, KY; one grandchild, Sean Douglas Bryan and wife Holly of DeRidder; two great grandchildren, Eden Bryan and Noah Bryan, both of DeRidder.
Visitation will be from 4:30 P.M. until 9 P.M., Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder and from 2 P.M. until time of service Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in the First United Methodist Church of DeRidder.
