Agnes E Harmonson's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Harmonson, 72, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Canaan Baptist Church under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Rev. Morris Goins and Rev. Maurice Johnson will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until service time Saturday in the Church.
Mrs. Harmonson was born on July 31, 1946 in Harlingen Texas and she entered her eternal home on August 24, 2018 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Agnes was a member of Canaan Baptist Church where she was known to all the children as Mrs. AWANA. She loved serving as the director of Children’s Church. She spent many hours volunteering for such things as the Vernon Baptist Association, WMU, The Leesville Women’s Commission, the Wounded Warrior Project, and she could be found every week spending time with the residents at the Sunshine Center Apartments. She was also a member of the Kiwanis of Vernon and Rosepine.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Pablo Otero, and Blanch Gutierrez, and One Son: Joseph Paul Torres.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 25 years: Clarence Harmonson of Leesville; One Son: Peter Patino of Colorado; Eight Daughters: Catherine of New Jersey, Monica Patino of Colorado, Stephanie Patino of Texas, Karen Ames of Virginia, Latausha Harmonson of Texas, Leslie West of Virginia, Janine Gartner of Germany, and Faye Harmonson of Leesville. Three Brothers: Paul Otero of Texas, John Otero of California, and Dino Otero of Washington; Two Sisters: Mary Jessie Sandoval of Colorado, and Frances Hernandez of Texas; 14 Grandchildren and 16 ½ Great Grandchildren.
The family of Mrs. Harmonson has requested that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canaan Baptist Church AWANA program.
