Abigail Marlene Welch's Obituary
Funeral services for Abigail Marlene Welch, 18, of Rosepine, LA, will be held at 3 PM Monday, February 23, 2015, at First Baptist Church of DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Lone Star Cemetery, Lone Star Community, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Abigail passed from this life on Friday, February 20, 2015, in Vernon Parish.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015, 5 PM until 9 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and Monday beginning at 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home in DeRidder.
Abigail was born on September 23, 1996, to Tommy and Angela Millsap Welch in DeRidder, LA. She was a junior at Rosepine High School and a member of the softball team and Fellowship of LA Christian Athletes. Abigail was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church and an active member of the youth group. She will dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents, Tommy Ray and Debra Welch of DeRidder, LA; 4 sisters, Summer Carpenter and husband Chad of DeRidder, LA, Sarah Welch of DeRidder, LA, Stacey Welch and husband Andy Cantrell and step sister, Delissa Doyle of DeRidder, LA; 2 brothers, Tommy Welch and wife Heather of DeRidder, LA and step brother, Jamie Doyle of Branson, MO; grandparents, Hamil & Kay Millsaps of Decalb, MS, David & Sandy Harden of Rosepine, LA and Dorothy Weldon of Branson, MO; nieces, Nikki Carpenter, Carly Nesbitt, Alexis Cantrell, Lindsey Cantrell, Hallie Welch, Bailey Welch and Skyler Tanton; nephews, Tyler Cantrell, Dylon Carpenter, Hunter Lee, Caleb Welch, Ethan Carpenter and Cole Smith; great niece, Blayklie Woodall and great nephew, Damiene Abney. She was preceded in death by her mother, Angela Welch and grandparents, Glynda Harden, Ethel May Welch and Oscar Joe Welch.
