Jay was one of my very best friends and the VERY best CID SA that I ever served with. The mold was broke when they created this man. Truly one of the best friends and coworkers you could ever ask for. I pray for Jay's family and sincerely hope the many good stories you will see about this LEGEND will help the healing. This is huge loss for the CID family and especially for his family. So honored to have worked with him and known him since he came to CID in 1993. God Bless, brother. You will be sorely missed.
Jay was more than just a supervisor or mentor, the way explained case work and why something was important to do was what made him so good at his job. It was like he could predict where a case was going and get ahead of it. Im not sure Ive met a person who cared more for victims and helping them through solved cases. More than that Jay was a great friend and a good hunting buddy. I miss bowling alley breakfast and gas station chicken biscuits with you brother. Rest In Peace my friend. Til Valhalla.
Jay was a mentor, co-worker, and most of all one of our friends. From his time as a CID polygrapher to his supervisory role over sexual assault investigations, Jay was the man. Through his leadership, Jay and his team built a collaborative bond with the investigators at the Clarksville Police Department and other investigative agencies. Jay's bond is what remains in our hearts, in our minds, and through us, his memory lives on. May our Lord bless and comfort the Joubert Family.
Rest in peace, Jay. You've left a profound imprint on all those you've worked with over your many years of service. Your humor, knowledge, and friendship will be deeply missed. Praying for your family and friends to find comfort during this difficult time.
Jay was a true mentor and friend. He was one of the best men I knew, and was always available to help in any way he could. Once you were a friend to Jay, you were his friend for life. He had the gruffest exterior but the biggest heart. His legacy lives on not only with the special agents he improved during his years in CID, but also through the betterment of the lives of the many, many victims he helped bring some form of closure to. My condolences to Jays family, and please know his spirit lives on in ALL of those he touched over the years.
A good man. Heres to you brother! See you on the other side!
